Day 14, Generousity and Compassion

These are the essence of life. Like love and caring, generosity and compassion seek no repayment, no personal gain, no reward. They come from deep within our souls. They are shy and humble, but the strongest of all our human characteristics. They are available 24 hours a day and these qualities are not particularly rare, but just need nurturing and exercise. When they are allowed to grow strong, they sustain us through it all.

Day 13, Anger

Anger, like meanness is a mask that people wear. Both of these build a wall that protects a person from the outside world and their pain. We should not be fooled, Meanness and Anger are real, hurtful and can be dangerous. Caution and awareness should always be used when dealing with these. It’s better to be safe than sorry, but always remember enlightenment and forgiveness come with patience and love. Breath and allow things to pass because answers are not on the fast food menu.

Day 12, Meanness

Being mean never eased anyone’s pain, it never won a war or mended a broken heart. It can be that stain that can’t be removed from you favorite shirt. Why are some people pleasant while others are just plain mean? We can only guess. However, we know for sure that pain is involved and until I walk a mile in their shoes I cannot begin to know why nor can I make it go away. There is no quick fix except to act as a role model.

Day 11, Not A Part Of The Plan

Life has a way of being interesting. It’s always filled with surprises that knock us off our feet. All of us! There is no perfect plan to protect, no recipe, no armor, no training wheels. It’s Life. We are made fragile and we break easy and the problem with falling is that it’s not always easy to get back up and stand in line. Our Christmas gifts this year and every year to follow should involve a helping hand. Gifts that ease pain or bring happiness are filled with holiday love and should never be forgotten. However, these types of gifts bring smiles and a full stomach, but they don’t always last. The gift that lasts and makes a difference is you. Be that hand.

Day 10 Looking For Answers

Sometimes we spend our whole life searching for a meaning, a purpose, an answer. Too often it’s sitting right in front of us, on the very tip of our nose and it is historic, for you. Take the time to gaze, look to the stars, be patient, big things have a habit of happening when you least expect it. Always look for a small package, it just works that way.

DAY 7, Finding Christmas

So this is Christmas and what have you done Another year over, a new one just begun And so this is Christmas, I hope you have fun The near and the dear ones, the old and the young A very merry Christmas and a happy new year Let’s hope it’s a good one without any fears And so this is Christmas for weak and for strong The rich and the poor ones, the road is so long And so happy Christmas for black and for white For yellow and red ones let’s stop all the fights A very merry Christmas and a happy new year Let’s hope it’s a good one without any fear John Lennon

DAY 6, Family

Dear God, Thank you for giving me a family that cares about me and loves me. Even though we don’t always agree on everything and we fight over the silliest issues, we still know in the back of our minds that we are lucky to have each other. We may not say it face to face, but I know we love each other so much. Again , thank you so much for blessing me with such a wonderful family. Now that’s some kind of miracle Big Guy!
